Halloween Fun Awaits! ‘Boo At The Zoo’ is This Saturday
I'd have to say as a child, some of my favorite things were animals and dressing up for Halloween. That's why October is such a special month, because at Hemker Zoo, your kids can come in costume and trick or treat from 10 am until 2 in the afternoon on select days in October.
Boo at the Zoo is just as much fun for the animals, because they get treats for Halloween too!
BOO AT THE ZOO IS HAPPENING THIS SATURDAY
Boo at the Zoo is taking place on the following dates in October:
- October 25th
Any child who is 23 months old or younger is admitted to Boo at the Zoo for free. Guests aged 2 years of age and up are admitted for $16 per person plus tax.

HOW DOES BOO AT THE ZOO WORK?
Boo at the Zoo is sponsored by area businesses. They fill out a vendor form and come to the zoo on a specific date to hand out candy to children who come to the Boo at the Zoo event. I counted approximately 30 vendors handing out candy this year, and it's a great chance for your kids to get out during the day (when it's easy to see them), let them dress up as their favorite princess, character, or spook, and enjoy all that the Hemker Zoo has to offer.

ACTIVITIES AT BOO AT THE ZOO
You and your kids can have a spooky good time visiting the spook house, feed the animals so they can have their Halloween fun too, and then just enjoy walking the grounds and learning about all of the amazing animals there are to see at Hemker Park.
