Candlelight Ski and Hike Willow River State Park

My family really enjoys outdoor active fun in the winter season. I am always trying to find fun, yet unique things to do. This isn’t too far away from us here in St Cloud.

I found out about an event called Candlelight Ski and Hike Willow River State Park in Hudson, WI. It’s happening Saturday, February 15th, from 6-8:30 pm Meet at the Willow River Nature Center.

Willow River and Kinnickinnic State Parks will host a Candlelight Ski, Snowshoe, and Hike event. Both hiking and ski trails will be illuminated totaling over 2 miles of trail. Afterwards you can sit by one of the two bonfires and enjoy some refreshments with your friends or family.

This is a free to attend but vehicle admission into the park is required. If you want more information about this event call 715-386-5931. This program is sponsored by the Friends of Willow River and Kinnickinnic State Park, Inc, the park's non-profit Friends group.

I think this would be a fun activity for me and my family. I think this would also be a pretty awesome date night. Less than a two hour drive from St Cloud, it might be worth the drive to Hudson.
