Evansville Teens Mowing Lawns for Free to Give Back This Summer

Two central Minnesota teenagers are spending their summer helping their community. Micha and Lucas Fuller live in Evansville, a small town about 20 miles northwest of Alexandria, and are part of the national Raising Men Lawn Care Service program.

Our mission is to help the people of the evansville area with their lawn care. This will be specifically for the elderly, veterans, single parents, or the disabled. Our quality service comes free of charge, no payment will be accepted, and we will do everything to meet your lawn care needs.

The boy's mom, Shelly, posted on Facebook saying the boys are ready for their challenge of 50 yards this summer. It is part of the program where kids are challenged to cut 50 lawns, and they receive different colored t-shirts for every number they hit on their way to the goal.

Raising Men Lawn Care Service is a national program for boys and girls that was started with just one person, Rodney A. Smith Jr,  and has grown to over 700 participants that have mowed over 15,000 lawns.

Raising Men Lawn Care Service is designed to promote awareness for the youth of the future. It is a platform where the younger members of the community can give back to the community. We know that sometimes youth want to help the community and sometimes people need it, but it can be hard to know who, why and where. We focus on getting all of this sorted out while also helping people around the area to care for and maintain their lawns.

There are kids participating in every single state across America, and the Fuller boys in Evansville are two of nine getting involved in Minnesota this summer.
