COVID has put a damper on just about everything this year.  It's been a year of nothing but shut downs, limited capacities, cancellations, and other things that have not been very friendly.  We can't even really travel outside of the United States... I think you can still go to Mexico, but that is it.

So, what happens when you can't plan a trip to Rome?  Rome comes to us.  That is, in the form of a very cool exhibit at the Mall of America.

This holiday season the MDH has recommended that we don't gather... really at all.  So, what's to do?  The Mall of America has an exhibit of the Sistine Chapel, the famous ceiling that was painted by Renaissance artist Michelangelo.  The good part of this is that you don't have to walk through the thing with your neck cranked back so you can get a good look at the ceiling.  This one is giant pictures of the mural along the wall for you to walk through and enjoy the artwork at a more comfortable level.

If you are concerned about COVID protocols when viewing this exhibit, MOA has you covered.  You do need to purchase tickets ahead of time, and they are staggering viewers, and masks as well as social distancing is required.

The exhibit is scheduled to continue throughout the holidays.  It's located on the second floor of the Mall, in the North atrium.  Parking is suggested in the North ramp (Lindau Lot) that is the best place with the least amount of walking to get to where you need to be.  Tickets are on sale for $19 for adults, kids 6-18 years are $12.  There are discounts for seniors, families of at least 4 and  group discounts of at least 10 people.  When purchasing your tickets you need to reserve your day and time.

The tour lasts about 1 hour.
