ICE CREAM! DQ Announces Free Cone Day Later This Month

I keep saying this - but FREE FOOD always tastes better!  And I am all about any sort of free food.  Like if you are hungry for lunch, go to Costco.  There are bound to be lots of samples there.  We used to joke that we "went to Costco for lunch" all with samples. Cost = Nothing.

AN ICE CREAM TRADITION CARRIES ON FOR THIS SPRING

This time it's the annual treat from the Dairy Queen.  Free Cone Day is an annual event marking the beginning of Spring, at least for the ice cream business.  This is a tradition that I will participate in every year - at least when I find out about it in time.  That's why I'm telling you now, so that you can mark on your calendar.

FREE CONE DAY HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED

Mark your calendar for March 19th!  That day, all day, you can get a free small vanilla cone at any participating non-mall Dairy Queen.

TIME FOR ICE CREAM - THE WEATHER COULD DO ANYTHING ON THAT DAY

Not only is it great to get free ice cream, but it's also awesome to celebrate the ending of winter - mostly.  But living here in Minnesota, that day could be pouring down either rain or snow.  It could be a bright and sunny 60 degree day.  Or, you could have all three depending on the time of day.  It's what we deal with in Minnesota.  We have all seen those memes that say we have all 4 seasons in one day...sometimes.  If that is going to happen, this is the time of year when it does.  So, prepare accordingly.
