He Was Grateful When He Brought A Fish House To The Parade
We might be heading towards winter, but that only means the parades in Minnesota get better. Forget the typical car/convertible/truck pulling a flatbed trailer, this Minnesota town is known worldwide for its unique, vibrant, and maybe odd fall tradition. Dress warm and hook up the fish house, as the Aitkin Fish House parade is just two weeks away.
If you aren't from the area, you did read that correctly, a fish house parade. It's an annual tradition, where folks hook up their fish houses, and celebrate. I mean who wouldn't want to see this?
A social media event describes the event as:
That's right. This Minnesota town, just North of Lake Mille Lacs, pulls out its ice houses, decorates them, and then parades them through town for all to see. It doesn't get more Minnesotan than that!
This year marks the 33rd year of the Fish House parade, and hopefully it will be one of the biggest and best yet.
