Whether you are a "special occasion" drinker, a weekend drinker, a "end of a hard day'" drinker or a W.I.N.O.S. (woman in need of sanity), with Valentine’s Day being on a Friday, it covers all of those types. So there's a good chance you'll be opening a bottle of wine this weekend.

With an average price of $12.32, it puts Minnesota in the top ten for cheapest in the country. That should make you smile a little next time you pick up a bottle. Wisconsin, Iowa and both Dakota's are all more expensive.

Minnesota is in the top 10 when it comes to red wines but barely makes the top 20 when it comes to the average cost of white wines. Sorry white wine lovers.
