It is almost that time of year - that time of year which many people call the "season of giving".  We have the holidays just over a month away, starting with Thanksgiving, and ending with New Year's Day.  So the thought is, while you are in the giving mood, maybe help out with one of the biggest fundraisers in Central Minnesota.

NIGHT OF FUN

Holly Ball happens every year on the first Saturday of December. This year that falls on December 6th.  For the last several years it has been held at Rivers Edge Convention Center.  This is a fun black tie event.  It gives people a great excuse to get dressed up, have a great meal, drinks and dance the night away while you bid on some really nice silent auction items.  There are also some other ways for you to make a donation if you would like with some other games and a wine/shiskey pull.

BRIDGES OF LIFE

Holly Ball, with this year's theme Bridges of Life,  is an event that is a fundraiser for three different areas.

This year’s theme, “Bridges of Life,” honors the caregivers, family members, friends and health care heroes who connect us — heart to heart, hand in hand — across life’s most challenging spans. Whether it’s a nurse offering comfort in the night, a spouse holding hope through illness or a friend showing up when it matters most, these bridges of love carry us forward.

Tickets are on sale now.  As far as the cost goes, it depends on what you would like to take in for the evening.  You can purchase a Couples Dinner tickets which is $700, and you get two seats.  You could purchase a single dinner ticket which is $350.  If you would rather skip the gourmet dinner, you can get just a late night ticket which includes access starting at 7:30 pm. Late-night snacks, music/dancing, silent auction bidding, signature cocktails and more! Does not include dinner. These tickets are just $175 a piece.

There are also some sponsorship opportunities as well.  Check out all of those options here on the Holly Ball website.

This is the itinerary for the evening's events.

  • 4:30 p.m. Social Hour with Silent Auction, Jazz Music and More!
  • 5:30 p.m. Seating for Dinner
  • 5:45 p.m. Welcome
  • 6 p.m. Gourmet Dinner and Wine
  • 6:45 p.m. Program Featuring Live Auction!

This year's musical guests:

The colors for this black-tie event are purple, green and gold. The color theme is not required, but certainly encouraged, or as they say, admired but not required.
