It’s a Springtime Tradition at the Minnesota Zoo & It’s The Cutest Thing
Are we still calling this Spring? The weather totally feels like Summer out there, and I am not complaining. But yes, it's still Spring, and there is a tradition at the Minnesota Zoo during the Springtime. It's something that gives you all the good "feels", great time to bring the family, especially little kids to the zoo.

Every Spring the Minnesota Zoo has Farm Babies. These little guys are so cute. And yes, if you live on a farm, or if you have been around a farm on a regular basis, you might think "so what, I've seen these things every year". As well as this might be true, there are some unique animals.
Goat and Sheep Barn
- Pygmy goats
- Nigerian Dwarf goats
- Shetland sheep
Horse Barn and pasture
- Clydesdale horses Frank and Ritchie
Cow Barn and pasture
- Dutch Belted cows, a heritage breed
Pig Barn
- Kunekune pigs, a heritage breed from New Zealand
Chicken Barn
- Buckeye chickens, a heritage breed
Farm House – Lower Level
- Buckeye chicks – learn about the 3-week process of incubating an egg from when it’s laid to a hatched chick
See? So many cute and unique animals that you may or may not have been familier with before this. So, it's not quite the normal and boring part of baby farm animals. You can learn so many things about these little farm animals.
The Baby Farm Animals will not be around forever. This is a limited time event, obviously, because they are babies. But you can enjoy this event through the 18th of May. Your admission to this event is included with your Minnesota Zoo admission. There is no extra cost to see these little cuties.
Since the weather has taken a turn for "suddenly Summer", it's a great time to head to the Minnesota Zoo, and see these little animals, as well as everything else the zoo has to offer including the tree top trail..
