When you live and grown up in Minnesota, you might feel like you know everything about this state, and where everything is.  Along with knowing just about every fun fact and attraction that you possibily have here in Mfinnesota.

Apparently, according to this, that isn't necessarily true.  There are a few things that are around this great state of ours that people have never seen - or better yet, never even heard of.

THIS GREAT PLACE IS LOCATED IN ORR, MINNESOTA

First of all, where is Orr, Minnesota?  I did little research because I had zero idea where that place is.  Now I know.  It's a tiny little town that is also known as the "Gateway to Voyageurs National Park".  Well, that's something.  Neat little fun fact.

What's so special about Orr, Minnesota?  The Mickey Elverum Bog Walk in Orr, Minnesota is the kind of place that makes you genuinely wonder how it hasn’t shown up on every travel list, every road trip blog, and every “must-see Minnesota” roundup ever written

I will be honest - I really don't read travel blogs all that much, but even if I had, apparently this doesn't show up, but should.  By the way, when they say "bog" it's not like one of those dark & nasty places that you think of running across somewhere like a New Orleans bayou, or at least that weird mud place where Atreyu's horse disappeared in the Neverending Story.   It's actually very nice.  At least according to this.

WHAT IS BEING SAID ABOUT THIS PARTICULAR BOG OR PLACE IN NORTHERN MINNESOTA

They’re ancient, layered, living ecosystems that have been quietly building themselves up over thousands of years, one layer of peat at a time. And the Mickey Elverum Bog Walk gives you a chance to step right into the middle of one without getting your boots soaked, which is the kind of thoughtful planning that deserves genuine appreciation.

The statement means that it isn't just a "bog walk" as what is stated on the sign as you enter the area in Orr, Minnesota.  It really means that it's something that you really need to check out.  Like right now, or at least for sure when the fall colors appear.
