The school year didn't wrap up in a traditional way for students this year, and high school seniors really got the short end of the stick missing out on key milestones like proms, final sporting events, and graduation ceremonies.

Long Prairie-Grey Eagle High School wanted to make sure the students got the recognition they deserve for earning their diploma. Staff went above and beyond to make an event happen for these kids, and it was one they won't soon forget.

I was asked to be at the event playing music as cars lined up for the parade, and it was such a special experience. The community really pulled through for these kids and made them feel recognized and special. There were people lined up along the entire parade route that ran through town. There were signs, balloons, speakers playing music, t-rex costumes, dancing track coaches, and so many warm smiles and well wishes.

Congratulations to the graduating class of 2020 from LPGE. You held your head high making it through a truly unprecedented final semester of school, and you are stronger because of it. We can't wait to see what the future holds for each and every one of you.
