Personally, I’ve always had a fascination with the art of magic and illusions. When I was a wee lad, a family friend would do magic for me all the time. To a 7 year old, it was nothing short of astonishing. At the time I was convinced that he had obtained legitimate supernatural abilities, though I wasn’t sure how he had done so.

When I was a bit older (12 or so) he wound up gifting me the book of magic tricks that he learned all of his material from. For a brief period of time, I submerged myself in it. I desperately wanted to astonish people the way that he did.

My apprenticeship in the realm of magic lasted all of a few months before I gave it up, but trying my hand at it (and failing miserably) certainly made me appreciate how magic was done. One of the best magic and illusionist acts around is the Masters of Illusion.

They've performed for tens of thousands of people around the United States and have had television performances which have garnered more than a million views.Their performance is on March 29th 8 pm at Mystic Lake Casino in Prior Lake. Tickets are available online now for $29.
