Minnesota Dancer Stars in Taylor Swift Video
Minnesota Taylor Swift fans have a new reason to cheer. A hometown girl just shared the spotlight with the biggest pop star in the world.
When Taylor Swift released her new album 'The Life of a Showgirl' earlier this month, fans were quick to stream every song and watch every video. But one familiar face in 'The Fate of Ophelia' music video stood out to Minnesotans. Dancing among the glitter and the lights was Taylor Sieve, a talented performer from Maple Grove.
FULL CIRCLE MOMENTS FOR TAYLOR SIEVE
For Taylor, the moment felt like everything had come full circle. “It was such a great experience. It was a fun project for sure,” she said. “She took the time to take a photo with all of the dancers after we shot. She really was so gracious with all of us and our time and our talents, and she was really lovely.”

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE DEBUT
Before she was dancing beside one of the world’s biggest stars, Taylor was winning hearts on the hit show 'So You Think You Can Dance'. Minnesotans first met her eight years ago when she competed on the show and placed third. Viewers quickly fell in love with her grace, her strength, and her quiet confidence. She was only a teenager then, but you could see it even back in those days — she was destined for something special.

ON THE HORIZON
After the show, Taylor’s life became a whirlwind of travel, rehearsals, and performances. She toured with a contemporary dance company and even joined the rock band Muse on stage. Soon, she will add another name to her impressive list of collaborations when she dances with Alanis Morissette for her Las Vegas residency.
MINNESOTA ROOTS
Even with all her success, Taylor has never forgotten her Minnesota roots. She was recently home again, teaching choreography at Larkin Dance Studio in Maplewood, the same place where she first learned to dance. “I do think it’s important to follow your dreams,” she said. “Art is very important, and it’s needed.”
For Taylor Sieve, it all started right here in Minnesota. A girl with a dream and a pair of dance shoes who grew up to share the stage with Taylor Swift. Now, fans back home can proudly say that one of our own Taylors is shining right alongside hers.
