Thanks to a ton of golf courses, movie theaters, performing arts theaters and casinos, Minnesota has been named one of the most fun states in the entire country in a new study from WalletHub!
THE MOST FUN STATES IN THE COUNTRY
The top three states in the study come as no surprise, with California taking the top spot, followed by Florida at #2 and Illinois at #3.
Minnesota is the ninth-most fun state in the country, according to WalletHub.
BENEFITS OF LIVING IN A FUN STATE
“Living in one of the most fun states can boost your mental, physical and emotional health by giving you a wide range of activities to choose from, both indoor and outdoor," said WalletHub's Chip Lupo. "These states help residents stay active and socialize, and they’re also ideal for travelers who want to make the most out of the limited amount of time that they have to explore.”
WHAT MAKES MINNESOTA SO FUN?
Minnesota's legendary commitment to the performing arts certainly helped its case, as the state boasts the third-most performing arts theaters per capita. In addition, Minnesota also is home to the third-largest variety of arts, entertainment and recreation establishments according to WalletHub, trailing only #1 South Dakota and Maine.
Not only are there plenty of fun and different things to do in Minnesota, the state also gets a lot of support from its government- which spends the most of any state on parks and recreation per capita.
