Now that we've all come to terms with the fact that summer is now gone, even though not on the calendar until later this month, this really is an awesome time of year. The weather gets a little cooler so you can drag out your favorite hoodie again, and then there’s football. So much, and rightfully so, is made about the Vikings, but one of the best things about this time of year is high school football.

Players put on the pads and their school colors to represent their community and their families. There are other high school sports that are going on right now as well, and all those athletes deserve our support, not just those who play on Friday nights.

The Minnesota State High School League started something yesterday that you might not have heard about, and that’s their weekly newsletter. Inside the newsletter, you will go beyond the score or box score of the latest game, you’ll get to know the players and coaches on a human level.

A lot of the high school athletes in Minnesota are involved in so much more than sports, and many of them are working to make our communities a better place by giving their time and other talents back to the community.

This will also be a great way to get updates and stay connected with the latest information from the High School League which will help you be on top of the latest news that could affect your kids, grandkids, or favorite team.
