Abby’s song choice was “Vienna” from Billy Joel and Katy Perry, who was the lone dissenting vote to send Abby to Hollywood to begin with, said that she felt Abby’s nerves got the best of her, but she did see improvement from Abby.

The 25-year-old admitted she was nervous after hearing all the other talent featured on the show.

The early rounds on the show are shorter auditions, which means you’ve really got to nail each performance. Watching the faces of the other contestants, some were really into Abby’s performance, and they could feel the power in her voice.

When it came time to announce the winners, Katy said she knew the contestants were all ready to hear the results and she would just rip the band-aid off.

Abby took to her Facebook account to say how grateful she was for the experience she had on the show, and again she mentioned all the talented singers on the show.

Abby had a friend play the piano for her during her audition. Sam was there to play for Abby, but the judges asked him to sing too, and he got through to Hollywood.

Sunday’s show showed Sam, or “Kayko” as he goes by on the show because of his band’s name, really wanting Abby to do well. He was very sad to see that she didn’t make it through, especially since he was in the group that was passed along to the next round.
