It's that time of year when we get lots of light displays.  But this has got to be one of the cooler ones.  The Minnesota Zoo has a holiday light display that is Nature Illuminated.  Here's what that means:

You don't need to get out of your car.  That means that you get to stay warm.  I love that idea.  This exhibit is geared toward showing and "illuminating" our endangered and "endearing" animals on our planet.  This drive through experience is also shedding some much needed light on how we can help to save and preserve our wildlife.

This event is going on December 3rd through the middle of January, the 17th.  There are some days that the  exhibit will be closed during those times, and they are as you would expect.  December 24th, and January 4, 5, 11 and 12.  The last drive through time will be a half hour before the close of the zoo.  They also encourage people to ring in the new year at the zoo, as they will provide some extended hours for New Year's Eve.

There is a discount for people who have a membership to the Minnesota Zoo.   It might be worth it to become a member, because the discount for this and other events is significant.  It's about half price.  The price for non members is priced per vehicle and runs at $50 a vehicle Sunday through Thursday.  The price goes up $10 to $60 for Friday and Saturday evenings.

If you  would like to see which animals will be highlighted... see what I did there... you can check it out here.

Make plans to bring the family and check out Nature Illuminated at the Minnesota Zoo this December and/or January.  Covid friendly!
