What recipes would you think some of our Midwest states search for most? Google results show it's not even close to what you think. No, Minnesota's isn't 'hot dish'.

A report was just released on what Google says is the most searched recipes, state-by-state. Neomam posted an infographic that shows the results in a unique way, with retro food icons.

You'd think Minnesota surely would be "hot dish", or "lefsa". Not even close actually! Apparently we are now into "shortcake", which is something I've never had or have never seen anybody I know bake. Obviously we are all confused about this.

I'm a little jealous of South Dakota with "prime rib" as their most popular search, as well as Wisconsin (for once) searching "caramel" heavily.

The one that seems to be the most accurate is Louisiana, who's biggest search is "jambalaya".
