With the 2020 Minnesota State Fair cancelled due to COVID-19, fair organizers and vendors are getting creative.

A couple weeks ago, the State Fair announced an alternative event with the 2020 Minnesota State Fair food parade. Last week, a company called Dinosaur Adventure announced it was bringing its own drive-thru dinosaur experience to the State Fairgrounds. Now, another company called State Fair To Go is provided and shipping out limited edition make-at-home kits of popular state fair food favorites. "Fry up some fair food with family or friends," boasts the website. "Make a night of it."

Here are the details:

Each kit costs $59.95 and feeds up to five people. Food/vendors include Ellsworth Cheese Curds, State Fair Mini Donuts, Sweet Martha's Cookies, Rosie's Fries, Axdahl's Fresh Corn on the Cob and Elliot's Up North Corn Dogs. The food is not ready-to-eat when it arrives but must be made at home; instructions are provided. Kits will are limited in supplies, available to purchase now and will begin shipping out August 17. State Fair To Go is a local Minnesota business located in Minnetonka. All items in the State Fair To Go box come from Minnesota farms and small businesses.

If you didn't get tickets to the Minnesota State Fair's drive-thru food parade before they sold out (like the Mix 94.9 morning show), this is a great alternative to getting your State Fair food fix! Order your to-go kit now before they sell out!
