No Freedom from Losing Streak, Twins Drop 6th Straight
The Minnesota Twins lost their six straight game, and were swept for the second consecutive series -- as a result of their 3-2 loss Wednesday afternoon in Milwaukee. The Twins are now 1-8 on their current road trip.
Minnesota starter Jose Berrios (8-7) had another nice outing -- allowing five hits, with three strikeouts and two walks in seven innings. Unfortunately again today, the Minnesota offense was unable to produce.
Minnesota scoring came as a rub in the seventh and another in the ninth. Brian Dozier was robbed of a home run by a spectacular leaping catch at the fence by Milwaukee's Keon Broxton in the top of the 9th.
The Twins have now lost eight of their last ten, and are 11½ games behind first place Cleveland.
Next: The Twins open a four game series against the Orioles tomorrow night at Target Field in Minneapolis at 7:10 PM CT (TV: Fox Sports North, Radio: 1240 WJON.)
