I knew it was going to get cold overnight, but I wasn't prepared to wield an ice scraper bright and early this morning.

Walking outside, I saw the top of my car before anything else, and it was covered in a frosty glaze (pictured above). I took a deep breath and braced myself for what the rest of the car looked like. Luckily the frost stayed mostly on the roof and there was just a really thick and cold condensation on my windows. Too much for the wipers to take care of, and just barely enough to justify scraping.

So I dug my ice scraper out of my trunk where it was summering and put it to work making sure I could see on my way to work. Good thing I took that extra precaution, the drive into work was nasty. Lots of thick fog covered St. Cloud's east side, and when I was on HWY 10 I could hardly see in front of me.

Oh and I almost forgot to mention, when I was heading into work it was 33 degrees. Dangerously close to the freezing point, Mother Nature. A bold move considering we still have 13 days until Autumn officially starts. Thank goodness I brought my succulent collection inside last night. I didn't spend all summer nurturing my plant babies for them to freeze unexpectedly.

Thank goodness we are in for a little bit of a warm-up. Highs will be back in the 60s through the weekend and will even hover towards 80 next week. I say bring it on if it's still summer, I want summer weather.
