A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.

From the National Weather Service this morning: Temperatures will rise into the low to mid 60s this afternoon and the relative humidity is expected to drop to between 15 and 20 percent. Northwest winds will increase during the late morning with frequent gusts of 25 to 30 mph through early evening, resulting in critical fire weather conditions.
