Teams Compete To Pull A Plane At MSP Airport For A Worthy Cause
There are so many different types of fundraisers out there that charitable organizations use to bring in money for their cause. Everything from a fundraising walk to a golf tournament has been done time and time again.
Special Olympics of Minnesota has a different type of opportunity for you to be a part of next month as they continue their ongoing project of raising money to support their athletes.

The “Plane Pull” for Special Olympics of Minnesota will take place on Saturday September 6th at Minneapolis-St. Paul airport.
So What Exactly Is A Plane Pull?
The fundraiser works like this; teams of eight people attempt to pull a 23 ton airplane down the runway in the fastest time. Each team will get three opportunities to achieve the top score.
Each team is required to fundraise $1,000. That can come from money you collect from others to support your team or it comes out to $125 for each team member.
Who Can Assemble A Team?
There are four divisions in this competition;
The open division will compete at 9am
The Gym/Fitness division will take their turn at 11:15am
At 12:15, the Public Safety Division will take place
Followed by the Unified/Delegation Division at 1:30pm
100% of the proceed from the “Plane Pull” event goes to support the outstanding athletes of Special Olympics Minnesota. Each participant will get a t-shirt and there are other incentives for those who raise the most money as well.This opportunity is a family friendly event, so bring your family and friends to cheer you on and hang out in the aircraft hanger. There will be food trucks, music, activities and more. This is a great way to put your strength to the test and show our most special athletes that we are behind them.
