The Minnesota Vikings lost to the Chicago Bears Sunday in Minneapolis 19-17, after the Vikings took the lead with less than a minute to play in the 4th quarter. If the end of the game didn't leave you with a case of whiplash, checking your social media feed after the game may have. I saw two social media posts that seemed to indicate the Bears were trolling the Vikings after the game, but with the rise of AI, did it really happen?

Did A Bears Player Really Skol Griddy After The Win?

After the game, the Bears were caught handing out game balls on FOX, and one of the game balls went to Bears kicker Cairo Santos. Santos, of course, made the winning field goal for the Bears, so his mood was especially good. Santos decided on his way to grab the game ball from Bears coach Ben Johnson, he mashed up two Vikings 'celebrations'.

It was dubbed the SKOL GRIDDY online, and yes, this really happened.

As a Vikings fan, I hope this doesn't catch on league-wide after teams beat the Vikings.

Vikings Had To Remove Speakers From Guest Locker Room After Bears Left?

Another story that appeared on my social media feed after the game was that the Minnesota Vikings removed the speakers installed in the visitors' locker room after the game. The tweet stated that the speakers were removed after the Bears played Dolly Parton's '9-5' on repeat for two hours after the game, as a way of needling the Vikings starting QB #9, JJ McCarthy.

The main tweet about this came from an account named NFC North News, which sounds fairly legitimate, except that upon reading the bio, it turns out to be a parody account.

So no, the Vikings didn't remove speakers from the visitors' locker room after the Bears left, and quite honestly, I don't even know if either of the locker rooms at US Bank Stadium has speakers inside that aren't brought in by players.

Be A Good Fan, And Don't Believe All The Online Hype

Before you retweet something or take a post online as being real, take a moment and double-check where it's coming from. With all the misinformation out there and AI videos that seemingly are popping up daily, it can be hard to distinguish what's real and what's not online.
