The "mystery" sidewalk artist that has been leaving masked murals on St. Cloud sidewalks created another masterpiece late last week. The mystery artist actually revealed themselves to be Karen Krey, an artist from the St. Cloud area.

Karen's first two masked sidewalk masterpieces were a version of Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa, and Johannes Vermeer's Girl with the Pearl Earring. Karen has been creating these incredible chalk drawings to bring smiles to people's faces and remind everyone to mask up.

The latest creation was Blue Marilyn, the 1962 painting by Andy Warhol. John Lund (Karne's husband) posted about it on Facebook:

The mystery artist (Karen) strikes again.

Karen Krey commented on the post sharing that this drawing was located on Wilson Avenue, very close to the train crossing going into Sauk Rapids.

Unfortunately, this amazing chalk drawing was done on December 8th, and since then there was a light dusting of snow in the area. Snow turns into water, and chalk doesn't mix too well with that.

Luckily there are photos of these gorgeous creations that (in theory, freak accidents happen) will last a lifetime. Thank you Karen for sharing your talents and spreading joy through your art. You truly have a gift.
