The exceptional heat across Minnesota will continue at least for one more day as the National Weather Service has issued Heat Advisories and Excessive Heat Warnings for our area Wednesday.

The Excessive Heat Warning is in effect through 9 pm tonight across most of central Minnesota, including Stearns, Benton, Sherburne, Wright Meeker, and Kandiyohi Counties as well as the Twin Cities metro area.

A Heat Advisory is in effect for most or the rest of the area, including Mille Lacs, Morrison, and Todd Counties until 9 pm tonight.

Extreme heat and humidity will significantly increase the potential for heat related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities. Watch for roads that may have buckled due to the extreme heat.
