A little late to the "canceling the fair" party, but you gotta admire the hope they held onto, the Todd County Fair has been canceled for 2020.

This year was slated for a later fair of August 13-16th.

The decision to cancel the 137th annual Todd County Fair to be held in 2020 was made at the June 11th meeting.  This decision was taken seriously and with much disappointment.  We were hoping to continue with plans but due to COVID 19 guidelines the decision was made.
Thank you for your past support, and plans are starting to be made for 2021.
I spent three summers as an intern for Todd County Extension Service and Todd County 4-H in close conjunction with the fair. I loved that fair. I loved spending all summer prepping for it. Making judges notebooks, setting up using events, cleaning up the 4-H building, organizing project displays, petting the animals, interacting with exhibitors, and the feeling of a job well done once Sunday night rolled around.
The Todd County Fair is an event that holds a very special place in my heart, and I am sad to see a 137-year tradition broken. COVID-19 has impacted so much, and I know I am already looking forward to 2021 when we can hopefully enjoy our favorite events once again. My heart goes out to all the exhibitors that work so hard on projects all year for the fair. Your work is not in vain, I'm proud of you and the dedication to your craft!
