Travelers- Don’t Plug Into Charging Stations at Airports

And here is another thing that we cannot do anymore... not a good idea to plug into those USB charging stations at airports.

Those convenient USB charging stations in public places could be loaded with malware by criminals looking to steal your money and identity, warned the Los Angeles district attorney in a recent Twitter post.

The practice is known as Juice Jacking.  This can put your Smartphone, tablet and computer at risk.  And the "jacking" can happen in as short as one minute.  And when this happens, it brings your information and passwords directly into the hands of scammers.  So, what are you to do if your phone needs a charge?  Find an actual outlet, not a charging station.  Hang there for awhile and charge your phone. It will probably be a lot less convenient, but it will probably be the safer move.
