The Minnesota Twins (51-58) followed up Friday's win with a game-two victory in the weekend series at Target Field by beating the Kansas City Royals 8-2 Friday night in Minneapolis.

The Twins took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning before the Royals climbed on top 2-1 in the third. The Twins added two in the fourth, another in the fifth, and two more in the sixth and seventh to give Minnesota the 8-2 win.

Twins starter Jose Berrios pitched seven innings, giving up five hits and two earned runs -- with three walks and six strikeouts. Addison Reed and Oliver Drake mopped up in relief for the Twins.
