The Minnesota Twins (67-80) came up short again in Kansas City, losing the the Royals Friday night at Kauffman Stadium.

The Royals jumped on the Twins right out of the gate, scoring in each of the first two innings -- taking a 2-0 lead into the fifth.

In the fifth, Minnesota combined for a double and three singles to take a 3-2 lead, then adding another in the seventh pushing the score to 4-2. Kansas City would make it 4-3 ini the bottom of the seventh.

That's where things would stand until the bottom of the ninth inning when the Royals Salvador Perez ended the game with one swing of the bat, and a walk-off grand slam giving Kansas City the win.

Jose Berrios started for the Twins, pitching six innings, giving up two runs on five hits and three walks -- striking out nine.
