High speed rail. Other countries have it. It moves people to destinations a lot more quickly. Imagine going from Minneapolis to Chicago in 4 hours. So why don't we have it? The simple answer is of course money. And not just spending money in terms of cost to build but in making money for major companies. Way back in the day, car and oil companies got together to dismantle rail systems so they could make more money on the sale of cars, tires, fuel, etc. Airlines would lose money on short trips to places that are a 6 to 8 hour car ride away.
