The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch in effect from late Wednesday night through Thursday afternoon for most of Minnesota -- with heavy snow and blowing snow possible, causing difficult travel conditions.

Accumulations of 4 to 7 inches appear most likely across eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin late Wednesday night through Thursday.
From the National Weather Service this Morning: A Winter Storm Watch is in effect late Wednesday night through Thursday for much of the region. Snow accumulations greater than 3 or 4 inches combined with gusty winds will make travel very difficult. Whiteouts are possible across southwestern Minnesota where wind gusts will be strongest.
