The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for most of Central Minnesota in effect from 4 PM today through 6 AM Friday morning. The St. Cloud area can expect 3 to 7 inches of new snow.

This Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Thursday's afternoon commute will be impacted. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving. The latest road conditions can be found at by calling 511.

From the National Weather Service this morning:  Accumulating snow will move in later today, with most of the snow expected to fall after dark. Generally 2-4" can be expected for much of the area, with a few spots reaching 5". Another system looks to bring more snow to the area Saturday, check back for forecast updates.
