Are Minnesotans Using This Popular Equipment That Has Been Recalled?
There are a lot of Americans who need or want to get into better shape. And for many of those, going to the gym is a place where they can pursue the desire to be healthier and even feel better about how they look.
Treadmills are a popular “tool” if you will, to help those seeking the benefits of working out to burn calories and stress at the same time.
If you are one of those people who use a treadmill for exercise, you need to be aware that a popular brand has been placed on the recall list.
Johnson Health Tech North America has announced that the Matrix T1 and T3 models have an issue that could result in a fire. The company says that the power cord can come loose from the treadmill's power socket which could result in a fire.
Many of these products are in gyms where members use them, but those in charge of the gyms need to inspect the power cords and if they see or feel there are any issues, the gym should stop using the treadmill until it can be repaired.
Johnson Health Tech North America should be contacted to schedule the repair. Or if the gym can make the repair properly themselves, a replacement part can be sent to the gym.
It would be advisable to check with the gym to make sure they are aware of the recall and that the repair has been made before you use the equipment again.
