The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Warning in effect through 6 PM this evening for portions of central Minnesota -- including Stearns, Sherburne, Kandiyohi, Meeker, and Wright counties.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for areas north and east of St. Cloud, including Benton, Mille Lacs, and Morrison counties. The Twin Cities are under a Winter Storm Warning.

Falling and blowing snow with strong winds and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout conditions, making travel extremely dangerous. Do not travel. If you must travel, have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with your vehicle.

National Weather Service
