The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Warning for a large portion of western and southwestern Minnesota, including St. Cloud, from Wednesday night through Friday morning.

The Blizzard Warning includes Stearns, Kandiyoihi, Meeker, and Pope (+more) counties. The rest of central Minnesota is included in a Winter Storm Warning.

A potentially historic winter storm is expected starting Wednesday evening lasting into early Friday morning. Total snow accumulations of 12 to 20 inches expected. Winds gusting over 50 mph.

Blizzard conditions are expected across western Minnesota where wind gusts of 40-50+ mph will combine with over a foot of snow to produce nearly impossible travel conditions.
