Minnesota Red Cross Offers Classes For Life-saving Skills
With the news from the last 24 hours or so about the earthquake that occurred near Russia and caused Tsunami warnings for Hawaii and the costal states along the west coast, we’re reminded of how quickly things can happen.
This made me think of when I heard a former college football coach who said that he prays for wisdom to be able to make quick decisions when they are needed. He wanted to sharpen himself for the things in life that pop up that require a split-second action.

This is sort of about that very thing, being able to react quickly in an emergency situation. One of the ways you can be prepared is by taking a CPR course through the Minnesota Dakota Regions of the American Red Cross.
As we turn the calendar from July to August, you may want to put this information on your schedule to help you be prepared for those situations where time is of the essence.
Fit Classes Around Your Schedule
The Red Cross has some online classes that you can take around your schedule. They offer:
- Adult, Child and Baby First Aid, CPR and AED training class for $37
- Adult First Aid, CPR and AED for $37
- Adult First Aid/CPR for $37
- Child and Baby First Aid, CPR and AED for $37
Again, these classes can be done around your busy schedule, and they are online.
In Person Classes
On August 21st, a combination of the classes listed above will be available in St. Cloud and some have just a few seats remaining. The cost can range from $67 to $129. See the complete list here.
Again, being prepared to react quickly could be the difference in saving someone’s life and not being able to. Why don’t you see if you have room in your schedule to arm yourself with the ability to turn what could be a tragic situation into at least one that has a happier ending.
