Former Marco Building Getting Demolished

ST. CLOUD -- The former Marco building on Division Street in St. Cloud is coming down.

Owner Gary Marsden says Marco moved into that building in 1987. They moved to their new headquarters on Heatherwood Road about five years ago.

Marsden says he expects the demolition to be done in about a week. He says they are taking the building down in an effort to prepare the site for future development.

Marsden is looking to sell the 3 1/2 acre lot, which he says will be the largest available lot on Division Street.

Marsden and Dave Marquardt started Marco as a small typewriter shop in St. Cloud in 1973.
