George R.R. Martin Leaks GoT Prequel Details

The yet unknown title of the prequel to the enormously popular Game Of Thrones is currently filming in Ireland. What we already know from HBO is that it will be set about 5,000 before GoT during a time called the Golden Age Of Heroes. But George recently revealed some other details.

For one, there will be 100 different kingdoms, not just 7. George Martin said:

...if you go back further then there are nine kingdoms, and 12 kingdoms, and eventually you get back to where there are a hundred kingdoms...petty kingdoms...and that’s the era we’re talking about here.

 

There will be Starks but no Lannisters.

The Lannisters aren’t there yet, but Castlery Rock is certainly there...it’s like the Rock of Gibraltar. It’s actually occupied by the Casterlys...for whom it’s still named after in the time of Game of Thrones.

The show is rumored to be coming out sometime in 2020 but as far as Game Of Thrones fans go...that seems like a lifetime away.
