Going To The Twin Cities This Weekend? It Won’t Be Smooth Sailing
It's going to be a crazy weekend in Minneapolis and St. Paul. Crazy as in sports crazy. There is a lot going on.
First there's the Twins in a big series against the Indians at Target Field. Then the Vikings open their season at The Bank against the Falcons on Sunday. Side note: They both play at almost the same time on Sunday.
But that's not all. The St Paul Saints are playing a playoff game, the Minnesota United are in action and the Red Bull Flugtag (below) is going on as well in St. Paul. Holy S***! That's a lot of sporting events and it's going to make traffic nuts. The city of St. Paul is expecting around 200,000 and Minneapolis even more.
To add insult to injury, I-94 is being shut down for re-surfacing from highway 280 to almost I-35 in St. Paul. That is going to make for some crazy traffic issues to put it lightly. Parking somewhere and taking public transportation is recommended. No matter what you do...good luck.
