It was the first time the Gophers beat the Badgers since 2003.

Following the Gophers surprising 37-15 win over the Wisconsin Badgers Saturday, one Minnesota fan followed through on his word and jumped into an icy lake to celebrate.

It all started with a tweet from Twitter user @GopherHole:

Miah Becker replied with a a series of tweets promising to jump into the frigid waters of Gull Lake and "cleanse [himself] of his supposed negativity."

True to his word, Miah posted a video after the Gopher's win of him running outside -- an oar held above his head and screaming "Time to cleanse my negativity!" -- and jumping into a hole in the ice.

The video has since been featured on Fox 9.
