Help Students “Clean-Up” This Saturday in St. Cloud
The weather this weekend is supposed to be nice, hot but nice. There are a lot of things that you could do this weekend to take advantage of the great weather.
Something you should consider is washing your car. Let me rephrase that, having your car washed. And the place to do that is Crew Car Wash on Division Street in St. Cloud. This Saturday is not just a normal day for the staff at Crew, it’s their annual fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota.
Big Brothers Big Sisters has just kicked off their Back-to-School campaign where they are trying to match 60 mentors with children in the area.
Big Brothers Big Sisters works to help kids who need a mentor find that person. To be a mentor for a kid, it can take as little as an hour per week or a couple of hours if you choose.
Once you apply to be a mentor, Big Brothers Big Sisters will take your interests and match that with those of a child on their waiting list. To goal is to have you have something in common with your “little” as the kids are called, right away.
Now, back to the getting your car washed part of this story, when you go to Crew Car Wash in St. Cloud this Saturday and order the ultimate wash, half of the price will go back to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota. That means your donation will stay right here in our area.
