Saturday night I had the honor of hosting a live charity concert put on by Mason Dixon Line to benefit Toys for Tots in St. Cloud.

Mason Dixon Line took the stage at the Pioneer Place Theater in downtown for a virtual concert that featured their usual 80’s and 90’s country hits, but also special performances from guests including a Marine who came on stage to drum for Fortunate Son, Ted from Duces Wild, and Santa Clause even made an appearance all the way from the North Pole.

The event ended up raising $10,000 for Toys for Tots through direct donations, and through an online silent auction that featured items like signed gear from the band, and a private concert with Mason Dixon Line.

Thank you to everyone who tuned into that event online, and donated. Your donations are going to make so many kids in Central Minnesota have a magical Christmas in a year that has been increasingly difficult for families.

Last year Marine Toys for Tots collected 11,285 toys that went to 2,208 area children. With how hard 2020 has been financially for families, donations are needed now more than ever.

If you are in a place where you can donate, there are Toys For Tots drop off locations at area businesses all around Central Minnesota. Or you can donate money online through the Marine Toys for Tots website.

Thank you again to everyone who has donated this year and in past years. Your donation created a magical Christmas memory for a child, and that is worth more than any of us will ever know.
