Make It A Merry Boating Christmas in Minnesota
It’s safe to say that most of us realize we’ve entered Winter. We’ve had snow twice already, although not significant amounts, it’s still gotten white around Central Minnesota twice.
We’re busy thinking about staying warm, and making sure those things we own that need to be winterized are taken care of. Placing the snow shovels where they’re easy to reach and the snowblowers, if you have one, are ready to do the work for you.
Snowmobilers and Ice Anglers are just biding their time until hopefully they’ll be back in their element again.
And then there’s the holidays. Decorating and shopping. Honestly, shopping can be one of the biggest “stressers” of the year because we don’t know what to get that hard to buy for person on your list.
This idea may be a little outside the box for some folks, but for others, it may just be what the doctor ordered. How about a new boat?
No, I didn’t forget that I just wrote about that we’ve entered the cold weather phase for the next several months. The reason I bring this up, we’re entering the time of year when boat prices go down.
According to Progressive Insurance, fall is a great time to buy a boat but the biggest decrease in prices comes during the winter. And this doesn’t just apply to buying a boat from a dealership. Individuals can have several reasons for offering a watercraft at a good price this time of year.
Most people don’t have the lump sum of money available to buy a boat outright, but the good news is, according to financemytoys.com, lenders will lower interest rates to try to make it more appealing for customers to make the off-season purchase.
This idea may not make sense for Christmas, or maybe it does. But if you love to hit the water during the warmer weather months, now might be a great time to upgrade your boat.
