There’s an old saying that says “absence makes the heart grow fonder” which means when you’re away from someone or something you love, you cherish the time you have with them or it.

Fans of McDonalds McRib understand that sentiment probably better than anyone. The McRib is only available for a limited time each year, even though a few years ago the restaurant chain said it was going away forever.

If you have a fondness for the fast-food sandwiches, there could be some really good news for you.

Chowhound reports state that Sam’s Club carries a product that is as close to the McRib without getting sued by McDonalds. If you are a member of the wholesale warehouse, you can find the BBQ Rib sandwich that looks very similar, and some say tastes just as good.

There’s another bit of good news as well, the price. Reports state that you can find a 10 pack of frozen sandwiches for about twelve bucks.

When you compare that in cost to buying a McRib from McDonalds, which can cost as much as six bucks, you see the savings right off the top.

One major difference in the sandwiches is that the Sam’s Club version does not have the onions or pickles that the McDonalds sandwich comes with.

Of course, the McRib sauce that McDonalds uses won’t be on the sandwich from Sam’s, which leaves you with some options. You could try to find some of the McRib sauce that McDonalds was selling by the jug or find a sauce you enjoy and have your own variation of the McRib.

The Sam’s Club version of the McRib is being called the “Mock-Rib”. But if it tastes as good as reports say, who cares what they call it if you can have the taste you crave whenever you want it.
