Minnesota Named One of the Top 3 Safest States in America

The month of June is National Safety Month, and Minnesota has just been named one of the safest states in the country! Wallethub recently compared all 50 states based on 48 different metrics to determine which states were the safest ones to live in. Here are the top 10:

9. Massachusetts
10. Washington

Our great state actually ranked number one when it came to overall road safety. The study found that Minnesota had the 3rd fewest deaths per 100 million vehicle miles traveled, and the 4th lowest uninsured population rate. Minnesotans are also great at pre-planing, because we came in 3rd for states with high populations having "rainy day" funds. Where we fell short was with our emergency preparedness rank, where we came in at 22 on the list. You can read more about the study and find out where other states landed on the list here!
