In Minnesota, everyone has tried  popular snack food dubbed 'Minnesota Sushi'. To make this, you would take a pickle  and spread some cream cheese around it. Then, a slice of ham (or luncheon meat) is wrapped around the cheese-covered pickle. It's then cut into slices, and served as a bite-sized snack. It’s practically at every potluck I have ever been at.

QC Pizza, a pizzeria in Mahtomedi, MN, has taken he concept of Minnesota Sushi and has made it into a delicious pizza pie.

Called "It's Kind Of A Big Dill," I am kinda in love with the name it’s dubbed with. So funny. Definitely gets your attention.

It begins with a base layer of garlic dill sauce on top of the dough, followed by a layer of homemade Canadian bacon that's been smoked for 48 hours, and a layer of fresh pickles. It's then caked with a generous layer of mozzarella cheese, yet another layer of pickles, and a dusting of dill.

Might be worth the drive to Mahtomedi, Minnesota. QC Pizza is also known to get creative with their pies, and like to  update their menu and keep things interesting with additions like a taco pizza and one made entirely of bar snack toppings.

I am dying to try the new Minnesota Sushi pizza. It sounds good to me. I am sure a lot of people are like pickles on a pizza? That’s worse than pineapple. Things you don’t expect to see on a pizza. One thing I always say is “don’t knock it till you try it.”
