With the Great Minnesota Get Together fast approaching, the Minnesota State Fair has announced three new rides.

The Sea Ray is a giant pirate ship that swings from side to side -- as if you're on the high seas! Look for Sea Ray at the Mighty Midway.

Zero Gravity -- also at the Mighty Midway -- combines supersonic spins and centrifugal force for a real adrenaline-rush.

The colorful horses of the classic Merry-Go-Round will be located at Kidway.

The Minnesota State Fair also announced that they'll be celebrating the Giant Slide's 50th anniversary at the MN State Fair this year!

The Giant Slide has been owned and operated by three generations of the Pittroff family who first brought the slide to the fair in 1969. To commemorate, fairgoers are invited to stop by for a selfie and purchase a limited-edition t-shirt and hat ((available only at the 2019 State Fair and while supplies last). Rides on the slide are $2.50 per person.

The Minnesota State Fair runs August 22 - Labor Day, September 2 this year.
