Molitor's Haunted Acres Celebrates 20th Year Making You Scream [VIDEO]

SAUK RAPIDS -- Some of you will laugh, some will scream and many will cry from a combination of both at Molitor's Haunted Acres.

Celebrating their 20th Anniversary season starting Friday, Molitor's Haunted Acres is just as popular as ever. Molitor's Co-Owner Tammy Molitor says a big challenge for them is staying up to date on their scares.

"It's long-running, and every year even when we were starting out it was always the same. Coming up with things to entertain people, everyone has a different scare factor or different things that make them laugh."

Outside of just staying fresh, another aspect that's gotten tougher as the show's grown is keeping things running smoothly.

"Making sure things run properly. Some of those things have become difficult as the show's become more popular."

The Haunt's 20th anniversary is officially being celebrated on October 27th and 28th. That weekend will have live music and a Halloween party.

Molitor says to make sure everything runs well, they bring in as many people as they can to help out.

"Once the show is up and operating, it's over 100 people on site that are helping run it."

Tickets start at $22.00, $40.00 for a fast pass and a group rate of $18.00 for groups of 25 or more, to get that group rate call 320-253-1672. The haunts start at 7:00 p.m.

Starting off with a mile-long "wagon of doom" hayride leads you into the "rest-stop" which features a bar, a fire-pit, and zombie paintball.

The "rest-stop" is your last chance to take a breather.

After that, you hit the point of no return, going through a maze of haunts including a prison, sewer, toxic mine shaft, the cellar and classic haunted house. These all include haunts from current pop-culture to ensure your scare isn't from nostalgia.

Tammy Molitor, or the "Queen of Scream" has a warning; the actors can touch you... but you can't touch them.
