Poseidon Is Down: Iconic Statue Removed From St. Cloud Home

The 'Poseidon House' is now just a regular house... mostly. The iconic Poseidon Statue that has overlooked the landmark home on Riverside Drive has been removed and taken to a private residence in St. Augusta, along with some other fixtures from the unique home.

Crews were at the home around 1:30 Wednesday afternoon to remove the statue, pedestal and surrounding granite. The homeowner had recently announced she was selling some of the more, er, distinctive features of the for-sale home.

The home has been listed for sale for the last couple of months.

A famous St. Cloud house has been remodeled and is now back on the market. The 'Poseidon House' on County Road 1 in St. Cloud is listed for $749,000. The price has been cut down to $699,000 as of 3/30.

Built in 1958, this home was purchased in the fall of 2020 before undergoing extensive renovations and even being featured on the HGTV show "Ugliest House in America."
